Nothing is ever too hard to achieve especially if you are determined to achieve the goal that you so desired. This is the spirit that my mother installed in me at a tender age and I am glad I took it up just at the right time. I did not come from a rich family but I was taught that to achieve the best in life, hard work had to be involved. And since I wanted to change the face of our family, I did everything possible to succeed in what I laid my hands on. Am also glad that dad knew the importance of study and had to spare some of his cash to see to it that I got some study in an electrical institution. I remember going through an electrical contractors reading courses that may have not been easy but I made it all the same. And now that i have attained good grades and extra curriculum activities, I am glad of the good performance that I put in my job. I want to build even more trust with my employer with the hard work that I want to put and hope that I will get a promotion to earn more and continue changing the status of family. |

If I had the budget first of all I would add some light to my rooms - natural light. I'd remove the curtains I have now and get some lighter ones that let light seep through the material - with some hook and loop fasteners too for ease of use.
I'd put plants and flowers outside as well as inside my house. I would change my basement and add in a play area; a den for the computer and a music room, with an extra large TV and comfortable chairs. I would add a sleeping area for guests and an extra large bathroom, an exercise room, 2 workout rooms, an indoor pool (only 4 feet deep). I would add more sleeping areas and play areas also to other rooms in the house......I would put a bathroom, add a washroom, have a sliding door for the patio and a walk out door with shades at the windows. A large garden in the rear with a deck outside with running water. I would add a play area for children and a study for the spouse. This would be my dream house plus I would hire a person to keep it well manicured. We can all but dream!

When people are looking for someone to work on the roofs of their homes, they will want to get someone who is competent. When I was building my home, I did not want to mess in any way. I chose a good location in Nuneaton. The place is beautiful and there are also very beautiful homes that are situated in that place, very beautiful neighborhood. The roof was one of the most important areas that had to be taken care of thoroughly. I had chosen a felt roof so I was looking for a Nuneaton roofing company that knew what they were doing. My brother told me what to look for in a roofing company. So the contractor that was sent over had a lot of questions to answer. I asked him how the roofing would take place and at the same time I would compare what he said from what I had learned. He did not miss even one step, if he did, that would just prove incompetence of the highest level but he was pretty good. |

I have spent the whole day yesterday at my sister’s place and I was surprised to see the she redid the interior of her house. It was chic and modern which was a bit unexpected since her husband is really old-fashioned. She told me that it did take her months to convince her husband to agree with the design fortunately, after much prodding she finally got what she wanted. While sipping homemade brewed iced tea, she told me that she is also going to change the exterior painting of their home to match the ambiance and color scheme of the interiors and she wanted to know if I can refer someone who is good in mixing and matching exterior paint colors. I cannot thing of anyone right there and then. So I just told her that I will sleep on it and call her immediately as soon as I remembered someone. Now that I think about it, I cannot believe I forgot that my best friend can actually do the job. |

Summer is fast approaching and I have been nagging my husband for weeks now to install solar window screens in our home to block the heat of the sun. There is nothing else that gets me down more than sunlight, for some reason I am in a bad mood whenever it is hot, I love the rain and snow no matter how hard they come but give me even a bit of sunlight and I am already in a weird mood. We used to have the finest solar screens but my husband took them down for cleaning and forgot to put them back. If he will not put it up by tomorrow I will already call for reinforcements because I cannot spend even a single summer day with too much sun inside our house. Although I hope that my husband will remember it before the day ends, if not I will be truly disappointed and I may not be able to help myself from starting an argument. |

The stars and moon light ups our sky during the night and the sun during the day. And in the old days, during starless and moonless nights humans learn to use fire for light. I currently live on the beachside and the value of the property has significantly increased in the past couple of years. I have lived in the same house for over twenty years and have not undertaken one renovation. I have been to various DIY renovation workshops and has gradually encouraged me make my house incredibly beautiful. Recently a house sold for over a million dollars in the street however they have undertaken significant renovations. This has given me the inspiration to undertake renovations to increase the value of my lovely house. For instance I would like to have an attic room where it is possible to catch a glimpse of the city skyline while admiring the bay. I would like to be able to replace the weatherboards as they look rather weathered and are need of repair. I would like to pick out a complimentary color for the weatherboard to make it stand out more. The current front door looks absolutely horrible and would like a new high quality timber door. I may even erect a gazebo that overlooks the sea - that would be a great place to relax! |

A shoe box does a great job of safely storing your shoes. But sometimes, they can look garish or boring, especially if you’ve been using an old box. Instead of making your room look less scattered with shoes, these tired boxes will do the exact opposite! Yikes!
Do you want to add some style to those worn out shoe boxes?
First, you can decide on a certain theme or design you’d like to follow. (For instance, you may choose something floral or a starry pattern). Then, you need to get creative. Gather art materials things like gift wrapping paper, magazine cut outs, paints – anything at all that can be used to decorate your shoe box.
Then, get some adhesive shelving paper (available in most hardware or home improvement stores) in a print or design that you like. You may also use wallpaper for this, if you want more interesting textures on your shoe box. By “thinking out of the box” you’ll end up with a stylish shoe storage box! When you finish, remember to line the inside with some fabric and to properly label your box! |
