If you are thinking of making a compensation claim because of an injury that you have got as a result of an accident that was not your fault, then you may be rather daunted by the amount of solicitors available to help you.
It can be a good idea though, to find one who specialises in cases like yours. This will help because they will have up to date knowledge of cases and what recent decisions have been made. This is important because they will have a much better idea as to whether you have a good case or not. They should also be able to put together a better case for you.
Some companies have particular solicitors which specialise in different areas and other companies just specialise in a specific area, so all solicitors are skilled in the same area. It is up to you which of these you use. It is better to use one of these options, rather than a general solicitor though as they are likely to have a vague idea of everything, rather than a specific idea about one thing.
There are a lot of solicitors out there and so it should not be too difficult for you to find some which suits your requirements. You may not find that the one you like wants to represent you though. This all depends on your case and whether you have enough evidence to prove that the accident was not your fault. You will have to discuss it with them to find out what they think.
It could be a good idea to send a standard email to a selection of them, explaining your case and asking any questions that you have and that will help you to make up your mind who you like, when you start to get positive responses from some.
